I define you as a Realtor vs an agent for reasons that are very specific and experience that I value a lot…
1) patience – your patience had been fantastic. It could be your vast experience or your understanding of your client but either way, I find you most easy to deal with and most importantly did not ever try to rush me into making a decision. You are definitely very different from the other agents that I came across….you talk to the right data and information that are pertinent to the house and promptly follow up to ensure that I have the latest information/update.
2) knowledge – you have excellent knowledge of the home, condition, what to look for as well as your pre visit to the house in advance of our arrival makes you stands out compared to other agents that I had dealt with. your advance preparation further convinced us on your integrity as an excellent Realtor and NOT a mere agent who wants to earn a quick commission. You pointed out to us on what to look for and what should we have concern vs not went a long way in helping us in understanding the house, its condition as well as any potential cost outlay.
3) your attention to details – spending time with us on a thorough walk thru each time and accompanying us all the way to Phoenix for the signing of documents again demonstrated your passion in your job and your credibility as a Realtor. You assume responsibilities in ensuring your client has a clear mind upon entering into the purchase and having all questions answered is of utmost importance.
I valued your services and all the hours you spent with us. your friendly nature and composure makes all my family members very comfortable, especially Feibien. Once again, thank you for your help in finding our home and we definitely look forward to working with you in the future again.

As Canadian citizens looking to invest in the U.S market, we were uncertain of how real estate transactions took place there, escrow, short sales, etc. We were looking in the Phoenix, Arizona area for our vacation home and were trying to sort through the many different properties and areas. We came across Sam Elam’s website online and he immediately began to work with us sending property listings meeting our specific criteria. Sam narrowed down the areas and properties and when he sent us what we thought was the perfect vacation property we made an offer which was soon accepted. We arranged a trip to Phoenix and Sam had the seller agree to our delay of arrival for the inspection and walk through. After inspection, a few small things needing repairing were again handled so promptly by Sam that we managed to close escrow several days earlier than originally scheduled.
We feel Sam went the extra mile, arranging for the locks to be re-keyed, contacting the HOA to have the pin number for the gate programmed and even letting us use his cell phone knowing that using ours would have meant an expensive long distance call. Sam also took the time to drive us around the area showing us local land marks and sites. Our feeling of Sam is that he is more of a friend than a person we do business with.
Sam didn’t waste the short time we had looking at Phoenix properties that were of no interest to us. Any one who is looking for good old fashion service could do themselves a favour and also have Sam on their team.
We are so happy with his service and our new purchase that we are now considering investing in another property and put trust in Sam to again find us a great investment.
